About Deals Ka Baap

We started Deals Ka Baap in 2022 for a simple reason: the writing we wanted to read about how pricing works, when to buy, shopping tactics mostly did not exist, and what did exist was selling something.

The tone we aim for is sceptical, numerate, cheerfully unimpressed by marketing — we assume you are intelligent, busy, and able to tell when you are being flattered.

What we cover

The site is organised into 6 sections:

• How Pricing Works — Margins, anchors, list prices and where the number on the tag comes from.
• When to Buy — Product cycles, sale calendars and the months a category genuinely drops.
• Shopping Tactics — Comparison, price history, stacking and negotiating without being a nuisance.
• Traps & Dark Patterns — Countdown timers, fake anchors, drip pricing and how to read past them.
• Returns & Warranties — What you are owed after you have paid, and how to actually get it.
• Household Spend — Groceries, bills, subscriptions and the recurring costs that quietly compound.

Advertising pays for this site. It does not buy coverage, placement or a favourable word, and our editorial policy sets out exactly how that separation works.
